The Wedding Book
Every book I design is designed from scratch. No templates and no automated software. I put a enormous amount of work into making your book unique and personal. All the decor and background elements reflect your wedding colors. Lots of special touches are added that are impossible with automation.
This is more than just a book of wedding day photos. This is a STORY BOOK - telling the story of your special day. Except for the first and last pages. which open and close the book, all the others are in chronological order as it actually happened. Photos are grouped and each spread has a general theme.
Here are Savanna's book layouts - page by page....

1- The Opening Page
Usually I add the names and wedding date via font titles here to open the book, but in this case the wedding program did the job better.

2 - The Bride
This page highlights the Bride and some of the details of her dress and jewlery.

3 - The Groom
Some shots of the Groom prepped for his big day.

4 - More Bride!
OK, so the Bride gets 2 pages concentrating on her only and the groom gets only one. Is there something wrong with that? I love this page of Savanna pics - on the way out of her dressing room, we passed through a nursery where a rainbow parachute was hanging from the ceiling. I had to get a shot of all that color! And I like it as the center piece here, and how it blends into the surrounding pictures.

5 - The Bride and her Bridesmaids.
It's always easy to create a page design with pictures of pretty girls!

6 - The Groom and his G-Men
These guys were real fun to work with in the alleys behind the Opera House.

7 - This page includes various shots that I just didn't want to leave out!

8 - The Processional
Now we are into the actual wedding ceremony. In some books this page theme might cover several pages. In this one we do it in two. The whole book has been in chronological order since page 2 and here the individual pictures within the page are as well. So upper left we see the two mothers escorted in, then the 3 bridesmaids, followed by the Flowergirl and Ringbearer.... and then, here comes the Bride!

9 - The Ceremony
Upper and middle left are Father giving away the Bride at start of ceremony. I almost never miss the kiss at the end of the ceremony - but this time, in the low light, I was out of focus. The cool part about a book is you can still use a shot like that as I have here - by blending it into the page background produces a nice dramatic effect.

10 - Family Portraits
After the wedding ceremony we do the official wedding party and family group shots. That's the theme of this page... in some books there might be two pages of these shots.

11- The Couple
When the Groom is not allowed to see the Bride before the ceremony, pictures of the two of them together are taken afterwards, between the ceremony and reception. The book is in "as it happened", chronological order so that's why this page is placed here in the middle. It is telling the story of the day.

12 - The Reception Begins
This page sets up the reception part of the book, usually features your grand entry, the cake, food or decorations, etc...

13 - Toasts and cake cutting

14 - The First Dance
This whole page is devoted to the first dance.

. This page features the Father-Daughter dance and the Mother-Son dance. In this design, it themed better to combine parents dances with various pictures that couldn't be left out - pics of the wedding couple dancing with other parents, siblings or grandparents.

16 - Guests Page
The goal of this page is to show a lot of guests who might not have been included in wedding groups. At some point during the reception, I'll go table to table and get shots of guests who've not been photographed yet. I don't get everyone, but I get a lot of nice self-formed small groups. This particular page combines table shots and dollar dance shots.

17 - The Bouquet and Garter Toss
The Groom was prompted to earn the right to remove the garter by dancing down the long aisleway. Along the way he flirted with grannies and little girls (and maybe an uncle too) - they had fun with it. The low light shooting conditions were challenging for photography. A lot of the shots are grainier than I'd like -- but some shots just looked gorgeous - despite the low light. I had to work hard for those shots too! The one on the middle right side where the DJ is kneeling and holding up the garter is one of those where it all worked.

18 - The Final Page
With the last page, I often use a single photo and try to create a dramatic ending. But like the page says, this isn't the ending - it's only the beginning of this love story. Savanna & DJ's book is a 36 page book (18 two page spreads).
